After-4-PM / Twilight Discount

The official day-pass page advertises $4 off after 4 PM on weekdays. The park’s separate 2026 special-events page describes Twilight Swim as $4 off day tickets from 4 PM to close every day during the season.

Parrot Island Rules for Kids & Teenagers

Children 14 & Under

Guests age 14 and younger must remain with a responsible adult age 18 or older while on park property.

Ages 15–17

Teenagers age 15, 16 or 17 may enter without an adult, but the official FAQ states they must provide valid school or state photo ID proving their age.

Children Age 5 & Under

Parents or guardians must keep children age five and younger within arm’s reach at all times.

Swim Diapers

Children who require diapers must use an approved waterproof swim diaper. The park says they are available for purchase at the Tiki Hut Gift Shop.

Life Jackets

Parrot Island provides life jackets free on a first-come, first-served basis in multiple sizes.

The park strongly recommends Coast Guard-approved flotation for guests under 48 inches and weak or non-swimmers. Personal flotation devices require lifeguard approval.

Life jackets cannot be worn down the waterslides. Water wings and inflatable flotation devices are not permitted.

A Better Parrot Island First-Day Plan

Before open
Arrive with tickets ready. Have the actual mobile ticket or printable ticket accessible. Parrot Island warns that screenshots can be difficult to scan.
Entry
Handle locker and height planning first. Store valuables and confirm whether children meet 42-inch or 48-inch ride rules.
First hour
Do FlowRider and headline slides. Taller thrill riders should tackle their highest-priority attractions before the midday heat and longer waits.
Mid-morning
Regroup at Crocodile Creek. The lazy river is a natural reset for mixed-age families.
Lunch
Eat before everyone is exhausted. Outside food is generally prohibited, so plan Island Breeze or another permitted option before the group becomes hungry.
Afternoon
Shift to wave pool and family attractions. This reduces repeated stair climbing during the hottest part of the day.
After 4 PM
Late-day visitors should prioritize 2–3 attractions. Verify the applicable $4-off twilight/weekday rule before buying.
