The seven things to know before you rely on this site

1. We are an editorial guide. Not the CPSC, the CDC, a health department, a park operator, or a ticket seller.

2. We do not operate parks or sell tickets. Buy admission on the park’s own official site.

3. Confirm details before you travel. Prices, hours, and ride availability change seasonally.

4. We do not give safety advice. Follow lifeguards, posted rules, and height/age requirements at the park.

5. Your consumer rights are unaffected. Your state UDAP rights apply to your purchase from the park, not from us.

6. Our content is general information. The park’s official page is authoritative.

7. Statutory liability is preserved. Nothing limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

1. Nature of the Site

uswaterparkguide.org/ is an independent editorial publisher of a U.S. water-park guide. We are NOT:

  • the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) or any federal agency
  • the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) or any health department
  • the World Waterpark Association (WWA), IAAPA, the PHTA, or the NRPA
  • a water-park operator, a parent company, or a resort
  • a ticket seller, booking agent, or travel agency
  • a lifeguard-certification body or a safety inspector
  • an attorney, law firm, or provider of legal services
  • an authorized representative or agent of any park, operator, or agency

2. Not a Regulator or Operator

For anything specific to a park — current pricing, hours, ride status, reservations, refunds, lost property, or a safety concern at the park — the route is the park itself or the relevant regulator, not uswaterparkguide.org/.

We describe parks and explain the regulatory framework. We do not operate any park, set or guarantee prices, sell or honor tickets, or inspect or certify any facility.

Always confirm with the park’s official site before you travel or buy

A listing on our site is informational only. Prices, operating seasons, hours, and attraction availability change frequently and seasonally; the park’s own official page is the authoritative, current reference.

3. Not Safety Advice

Follow the park’s lifeguards, signage, and posted requirements

Nothing on this site is safety advice. Water parks carry inherent risks. Always follow the instructions of on-duty lifeguards, obey posted rules and warning signs, observe per-slide height and age requirements, and supervise children at all times. In an emergency, alert the nearest lifeguard and call 911.

4. Your Consumer-Rights Position — State UDAP & Federal Routes

Your state consumer-protection rights apply to your purchase from the park

When you buy admission or a season pass, your transaction is with the park or operator — not with us. Your state's Unfair and Deceptive Acts and Practices (UDAP) statute and federal consumer-protection law (FTC Act Section 5) protect you against deceptive or unfair practices, and the Fair Credit Billing Act supports credit-card chargebacks where appropriate. uswaterparkguide.org/ is not party to that transaction. For a billing or ticketing dispute, contact the park first; you may also contact your state Attorney General, the Better Business Bureau at bbb.org, and the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov.

5. Not Legal, Financial, or Professional Advice

Nothing on this site is legal, financial, medical, insurance, or other professional advice. For specific advice — for example, on an injury claim or a billing dispute — consult an appropriately licensed U.S. professional in your state.

6. Accuracy and the Verification Caveat

We work to a strict human-verification standard — every park’s official page opened, every price and season checked, every phone dial-tested quarterly. We are nevertheless an editorial publisher, not the park. Pricing, hours, attractions, and ownership change frequently and seasonally.

Always confirm with the park before relying on a specific detail

If a detail on our site and the park’s own official page disagree, the park’s page is authoritative. Tell us — we re-verify and update.

7. Third-Party Content and Links

The site links to water parks, operators, the CPSC, the CDC, health departments, the WWA, IAAPA, and other third-party sites. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability, accuracy, or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.

8. U.S. Framework Reminder

U.S. water-park safety is governed by a layered framework: the CPSC and the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act for entrapment prevention; the CDC Model Aquatic Health Code and state/county health departments for water quality; state amusement-ride programs and ASTM standards for slide safety; PHTA and NRPA operator credentials; and lifeguard certification via the American Red Cross, Ellis & Associates, StarGuard ELITE, and the YMCA. We cite these frameworks when we describe procedures, but we are not a source of authoritative interpretation — the relevant agency or the park is.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE U.S. LAW, we are not liable for any indirect, consequential, special, or incidental loss arising from your use of the site or your reliance on any content — specifically including but not limited to any loss arising from a visit to any water park, any admission purchased, any ride or attraction, any injury, or any reliance on pricing, hours, or availability that had changed. Aggregate liability to any user is capped at one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100).

Nothing in this Disclaimer or our Terms of Use limits any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable U.S. law — including liability for personal injury caused by gross negligence, fraud, or anything else state law preserves. Your statutory consumer-protection rights under your state’s UDAP statute are unaffected.
