This calculator uses published 2026 Any-Day admission and parking figures. It does not guess taxes, processing fees, food or merchandise.

Important locker-price note: two current official Cowabunga pages conflict. The Parking & Rentals page lists $14 / $16 / $20, while the FAQ lists $15 / $18 / $22. This calculator uses the higher FAQ figures so you do not under-budget. Check the locker kiosk on your visit date.

👶

Buckaroo Bay

Young kids 30″+ recommended

Cowabunga Canyon Height & Weight Planning

The most useful number to know before arriving is your child’s measured height in shoes-off ride conditions. A 41-inch child and a 48-inch child can have very different days.

Under 42″

Build the day around Piñata Falls, Buckaroo Bay, Cadillac Shores and Cactus Creek based on swimming ability and the posted attraction rule.

42″–47″

More attractions open up, including Ricochet Racer, Boomer Wrangler and Boot, Scoot & Boogie, subject to each ride’s rules.

48″+

High-thrill attractions such as Texas Tornado and Deuce’s Wild enter the potential ride lineup, subject to weight and other safety requirements.

Scales are used on some attractions. Cowabunga Canyon states that height and weight restrictions are strictly enforced and that some attractions use a green/red-light scale system.

Visiting Cowabunga Canyon With Kids

The park offers strong options for mixed-age families, but its adult-supervision policy is stricter than many parents expect.

👨‍👩‍👧

Age 16 & Under

Guests age 16 and under must enter with a responsible adult who is at least 21 years old.

6️⃣

Maximum Youths

One responsible adult can accompany up to six guests age 16 or younger.

📱

Meeting Plan

The park does not use a public paging system. Children should know the supervising adult’s phone number and the family should choose a meeting place.

Mixed-height strategy: have taller riders tackle their 42″/48″ thrill priorities early while the younger group starts in Piñata Falls or Buckaroo Bay, then regroup at Cactus Creek or Cadillac Shores.

Are Tubes & Life Jackets Free?

Yes. Unlike parks that charge separately for every tube, Cowabunga Canyon says required attraction tubes and life jackets are provided free of charge, subject to availability.

Attraction Tubes
FREE

Tubes are provided for the lazy river, wave pool and waterslides that require them.

Attraction tubes should remain at their assigned attractions rather than being taken for private all-day use.

Life Jackets
FREE

Park life jackets are available at no charge. Guests can also bring their own U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket.

Wave-pool rule: guests under 48 inches are required to wear a life jacket in Cadillac Shores and should remain under close adult supervision. Outside recreational tubes and water wings are not permitted.

Cowabunga Canyon Locker Prices 2026

Cowabunga Canyon provides all-day, multiple-entry lockers near the main restrooms. There is currently a small pricing conflict between two pages on the official website.

Locker Size Parking & Rentals Page Official FAQ Planning Recommendation
Small $14 $15 Budget $15 until kiosk price is confirmed.
Medium $16 $18 Budget $18.
Large $20 $22 Budget $22.
Why this article shows both figures: publishing one as definitely correct would hide a real inconsistency on Cowabunga Canyon’s own current site. Check the locker kiosk after entry for the price actually charged that day.

Cowabunga Canyon Cabana Prices 2026

Rental Starting Price Capacity Main Features
Shade Lounge Chairs From $39.99 Up to 4 Two chaise lounges, drink table, shade and server.
Standard Cabana From $149.99 Up to 10 Private shade, server, water pitchers, furniture and safe.
Deluxe Cabana From $179.99 Up to 10 Upgraded furniture, service, water pitchers and safe.

Admission is not included. Every cabana guest still needs valid waterpark admission. Outside food and beverages are also prohibited inside cabanas.

Cabana service ends before park closing. Check-in is required, and guests arriving late should contact the park because an unclaimed reservation can be cancelled under current terms.

Cowabunga Canyon operates as a 100% cashless waterpark. It accepts credit cards, supported mobile payment such as Apple Pay and Google Pay, and Cowabunga cashless wristbands.

Can You Bring Food Into Cowabunga Canyon?

General outside food and beverages are prohibited. Bags and towels may be inspected at the entrance.

  • Small coolers up to 16 quarts can carry ice and factory-sealed water bottles.
  • Empty insulated cups/bottles can be brought in and filled at water-refill stations.
  • A small single portion of toddler snacks, juice or formula is permitted under the park’s stated infant/toddler exception.
  • Medical and allergy accommodations should be discussed with Guest Services.
Picnic option: guests may leave the waterpark, use the outside picnic area and return. Get your hand stamped before exiting. If you drive out, retain your parking ticket and receipt for parking-lot re-entry.

Rain, Lightning & Las Vegas Heat

In Las Vegas, the everyday planning issue is often heat rather than rain. Cowabunga Canyon specifically warns about heat illness and recommends frequent hydration and sunscreen.

☀️

High Heat

Hydrate throughout the day, reapply sunscreen and use shaded breaks rather than waiting for symptoms of heat exhaustion.

🌧️

Rain Alone

Rain does not automatically close the park. Surfaces may become slippery and running remains prohibited.

⚡

Severe Weather

Lightning or other severe conditions can temporarily close attractions or require guests to leave water areas.

Rainy Day Guarantee

On selected dates Cowabunga Canyon may announce a Rainy Day Guarantee. If a lightning strike requires attractions to close temporarily, qualifying day-ticket guests in the park can receive a complimentary return ticket.

The return ticket must be collected in person before leaving the park that day. It does not reimburse lockers, cabanas, food, beverages or other add-ons, and season-pass holders are not eligible for that return-ticket program.

Accessibility & Guest Assistance

Cowabunga Canyon says many attraction, food, beverage and merchandise areas are accessible to guests with disabilities, including people using wheelchairs. Individual water attractions can still have physical and safety requirements.

Guest Relations

Guests with disabilities are encouraged to visit Guest Relations after arrival for attraction-specific assistance.

Plan Ahead

The park recommends contacting Guest Services at least a day before the visit when someone has a particular disability or special accommodation need.

Accessibility assistance number published by the park: 702-850-9000.

Important Cowabunga Canyon Rules

Smoking is not permitted inside the waterpark.

🎒 Bag Checks

Bags, totes and purses may be inspected at entry.

Use card, mobile payment or a park cashless wristband.

A Better Cowabunga Canyon First-Hour Plan

Before leaving
Check the exact date on the official calendar. Cowabunga Canyon’s hours vary substantially by day.
Arrival
Budget the separate $10 parking fee. Prepare digital tickets before walking to the gate.
Entry
Decide on locker and family meeting point. There is no public paging system, so agree where to meet before separating.
First 30 min
Do the highest-priority thrill ride. Groups meeting 42″/48″ thresholds should avoid wasting the quietest portion of the day on low-priority attractions.
Young kids
Start in Piñata Falls or Buckaroo Bay. That prevents repeated walks to towers younger children cannot ride.
Mid-morning
Regroup at Cadillac Shores or Cactus Creek. Reapply sunscreen and hydrate before the hottest part of the day.

Waterpark Road-Trip Comparisons From Las Vegas

Cowabunga Canyon is one of the strongest options when your trip is centered on Las Vegas. If you are driving between Nevada and Southern California, a few existing USWaterParkGuide.org resources can help you understand what other waterpark choices look like.

Driving the I-15 Corridor?

Travelers may still encounter searches for the old Mojave Desert attraction near Newberry Springs. Before planning a stop, read our Lake Dolores Waterpark 2026 status guide because that historic property is not operating as a public waterpark in 2026.

Heading Toward Riverside County?

Families continuing toward Southern California can compare Cowabunga Canyon’s higher-thrill slide mix with the municipal-style attractions and FlowRider planning covered in our Cove Waterpark tickets and hours guide .

Want Another Riverside-Area Waterpark?

If lazy-river and FlowRider-style recreation matter more than a Las Vegas resort itinerary, see the DropZone Waterpark 2026 visitor guide for Perris ticket, cabana and family-planning information.

Planning an Orange County Waterpark Day?

For a larger Southern California comparison with extensive slides, cabanas and a full-day outdoor setup, use our Wild Rivers Irvine 2026 planning guide before choosing your California waterpark stop.
