Maui Sands Indoor Waterpark 2026 Day Pass, Tickets & Hours
Looking for Maui Sands Waterpark in Ohio? This guide answers the most important question: Is Maui Sands Resort & Indoor Waterpark still open? Find its closure status, former address, ticket and day-pass information, history, redevelopment updates, and safer operating indoor waterpark alternatives for your Sandusky family trip.
Permanently Closed
Maui Sands does not sell valid public waterpark tickets or day passes in 2026. Its former resort is no longer a functioning hotel-waterpark.
Before planning your visit:
- No current waterpark admission
- No official public opening hours
- No active resort guest booking
- Former site: 5513 Milan Road
- Choose an operating Sandusky waterpark
Is Maui Sands Indoor Waterpark Open in 2026?
No. Maui Sands Resort & Indoor Waterpark is no longer operating as a public attraction. Tripadvisor identifies the waterpark as permanently closed, and industry reporting documents that the resort was shuttered by health authorities in 2019.
This is important because an old resort name can remain visible in online travel databases, maps, image searches and review archives long after the business stops serving guests.
Ticket Search
There is no verified official 2026 Maui Sands ticketing system or day-pass checkout.
Hotel Search
The former Maui Sands property is not currently bookable as an operating waterpark resort.

The resort experienced management, maintenance and operational difficulties during its years in business.
Maui Sands was featured on the Travel Channel series Hotel Impossible in an episode titled “Waterpark Bug-Out.”

How to Book a Safe Indoor Waterpark Trip Instead
Select a current indoor resort in Sandusky or elsewhere in Ohio. Do not rely on Maui Sands listings.
Check the resort name, city and full address before opening ticket checkout.
Compare full-day, evening, half-day and hotel access only where those products are actually offered.
Confirm children’s prices, required adult supervision, life-jacket requirements and attraction closures.
Add tickets or lodging, taxes, towels, lockers, food, parking and travel.
Bring the required photo ID, payment card and confirmation details to your selected resort.
